What Is BIOAELUS™? The Patented Technology Behind Epismed

If you've spent any time on our product pages, you've seen the name BIOAELUS™ come up a lot. It's the patented bio-electrical technology behind every product in the Epismed range — but what actually is it, and where did it come from?

A technology with a longer history than you might expect

BIOAELUS™ wasn't developed overnight. The underlying technology was originally studied and laboratory-tested under an earlier name, "Bioscreen," years before it became BIOAELUS™. Over that time, it's been the subject of laboratory antimicrobial testing and early clinical observation conducted by independent laboratories — work we've published in full on our Clinical Studies & Reports page, alongside plain-English notes on what each document actually shows (and doesn't).

That page matters to us. A lot of supplement brands say "clinically tested" without ever showing you the paperwork. We'd rather you could see it yourself, in its proper context, rather than take our word for it.

What "developed with reference to research" actually means

You'll notice we're careful with our language around BIOAELUS™, and that's deliberate. Laboratory testing on a raw ingredient — even robust, independently accredited testing — is not the same thing as a clinical trial proving a finished supplement treats a medical condition. So instead of making promises we can't back up, we say what's true: Epismed's formulations are developed with reference to laboratory research and testing conducted by independent laboratories.

That's a narrower claim than "cures X" — and it's the honest one.

Why it's in every Epismed product

BIOAELUS™ underpins the entire Epismed range — Epismed I (Immunity & Gut), Epismed II (Allergy), Epismed III (Anti-Inflammatory), and Epismed IV (Respiratory) — because it's the common thread in how each formulation was developed. Each product then adds its own blend of polyphenol-rich botanicals suited to its specific focus area.

If you want to go deeper than a blog post allows, our Science page covers the research and patents behind the technology in more detail, and the Clinical Studies page has the primary source documents themselves.
